SNOW!!

The best day ever - it's snowing (at least it was when I drove to campus a while ago). Soon will come the days of sledding, snowball fights, cross-country skiiing, and drinking hot chocolate by the fire. Delightful! Until then, a few flurries will have to be enough.

I just saw online that it's 74 in Philadelphia. And it's 31 here. Winter - I'm ready for you!!

Thoughts

So my initial enthusiasm of posting regularly on this new, attractive blog was, well, short-term. But since I don’t know who actually reads this (if anyone), how about a deal, between you and me? If you comment, I’ll post. (I want to say ‘I promise’, but honestly, I can’t promise. So I’ll try really hard).

On Friday I was thinking about books. Specifically, if I ever got married, what books would I make sure my future spouse read before we actually got married? Two books immediately came to my mind – Difficult Conversations and Emotional Intelligence. Those are must-reads. The other thing I’d add is watching several episodes of Supernanny together (I’m serious). That show sparks some serious parenting conversations. Interesting, though, that the 'must-reads' are not theology, and not directly about faith. But they are about life together.

Enough procrastination. Back to working on my talk for Thursday night.
